In Canvas Studio, the Draco Loader lets you import meshes that have been compressed with Google’s Draco algorithm, reducing download size by up to 90 percent while preserving full geometric detail. Once the file is in the scene, the mesh behaves exactly like any uncompressed object: just lighter on bandwidth and quicker to stream over slow connections.
file – Browse to your .drc file in your WordPress media library; Canvas Studio decodes the data on the fly and spawns the mesh at the origin with all vertex attributes intact. You can access this field by selecting 3D as the Element Type in the Elements settings, and then choosing PLY as the 3D Type.
That’s the entire workflow: select the Draco subtype, upload the compressed file, and you get a fully functional mesh in your Canvas Frontend UI. no extra quality sliders or decoder settings to manage.
