In Canvas Studio, a Lottie Map uses a Lottie JSON file that is rasterized each frame and fed into a material as a live texture. Because Lottie animations stay razor-sharp at any resolution yet stream lightweight JSON, they’re ideal for animated decals, UI elements, or stylized surface motion without impacting performance too much.
Wrap S – horizontal tiling mode (Repeat, Clamp, Mirrored) when UVs extend past 0-1.
Wrap T – vertical tiling mode with the same options.
Flip Y – flips the animation vertically if it appears upside-down.
Rotation – rotates the UV space (radians) so motion graphics align with the mesh.
offset X / offset Y – shifts the animation start point for seam hiding or sync offset.
repeat X / repeat Y – sets how many times the Lottie texture tiles across each axis.
center X / center Y – pivot (0-1) for rotation and scaling; (0.5, 0.5) rotates around the texture center.
Playing – toggles playback; OFF freezes on the current frame.
Loop – restarts the animation automatically when it finishes.
Speed – global time-scale multiplier (1 = real time, 0.5 = half-speed, 2 = double).
With a Lottie Map you can place looping logos on billboards, animate UI elements and more; all using crisp, resolution-independent vector art rendered directly onto 3-D geometry.
