In Canvas Studio, the Performance Metrics overlay is a lightweight UI element you can toggle in the Configure tab of the General Settings to keep performance visible while you build. It floats in the corner of the viewport and updates every frame, so bottlenecks become obvious before they reach your users.
frames – frames per second, the quickest way to judge overall smoothness
CPU – CPU usage
GPU – GPU usage
Memory Used – total memory the current scene and textures occupy, helping you stay within mobile budget.
You can toggle between these stats by clicking on the overlay. Keeping Stats on during layout and polish lets you push visuals with confidence, trim high‑cost assets early, and ship scenes that feel smooth on every device. The overlay won’t be shown to non-logged in users, so you don’t have to worry about toggling it off before publishing your Canvas designs.
