How they work together: the Editor defines what exists and how it is organized, while the UI controls how it looks, moves, and is presented.
Building your scene in Canvas Studio is divided into two main, intuitive stages: setting up all elements, materials, lights, effects, and more in the Backend Editor, and then handling design, layout, animations, and presentation in the Frontend UI.
Backend Editor – serves as the foundation for your scene, containing repeaters and selectors for all Elements, Lights, Materials, WebGL Effects, Environments, Post-Processing Effects, and any other components you want to include in your 3D setup.
Frontend UI – the fully native, in-browser environment for designing your 3D scene live, directly within your website. It offers a complete set of tools for arranging, animating, and refining every visual aspect of your project.
